WBC Overlay

For Streamer

What is the overlay?

The WBC Overlay is a widget designed specifically for streamers (on Twitch, YouTube, etc.). It allows you to display the current Weekly Boss Challenge directly in your stream, presented in an attractive, transparent design. This means your viewers can see at any time which boss you"re facing, what special rules apply and which characters are permitted, without you having to switch screens.

Setup in OBS (Step-by-step)

Integration with programmes such as OBS Studio or Streamlabs is incredibly simple and requires no external downloads.

  1. Customise in the editor: First, open the Overlay Editor. There, you can customise the basic design, colours, animations and the display of permitted characters to match the look and feel of your stream.
  2. Note the dimensions & copy the link: Look out for the blue info box in the editor. It shows the exact dimensions (width x height) required for your chosen design. Then click on the button at the very bottom "Copy link".
  3. Add a browser source in OBS: Open OBS Studio, click on the plus icon (+) under "Sources" and select “Browser”. Give the source a name (e.g. "WBC Challenge").
  4. Enter link and dimensions: Paste the copied link into the "URL" field. Then enter the width and height you noted down in the corresponding fields. Clear the "Custom CSS" field if there is anything in it, and click "OK".

Interaction during the stream

The overlay automatically includes all the bosses for the current week. You don't need to create a new link for each boss!

To scroll to the next boss, you can simply use OBS’s built-in interaction feature:

Right-click on your newly created browser source in OBS and select ‘Interact’. A small new window will open. A simple left-click anywhere in this window is enough to trigger the smooth animation and bring up the next boss along with its rules. You can, for example, place the window on a second monitor.

Privacy & API

We place great importance on ensuring that our tools run securely and efficiently.

The overlay automatically accesses the latest data from our ‘Celestia’ and ‘Visionlink’ APIs in the background. This means that the overlay updates automatically every week – you never have to replace the link in OBS!

Security: The validation keys for database access are transmitted purely on the server side. The link you insert into OBS contains only visual parameters (such as colours or animations). This means that no one can access our internal interfaces by reading your stream setup.
